Jewelers know this tube as the last step. After the diamond compound and the felt bob, there is often a smoky haze left on the surface; a touch of our paste on a clean bob lifts it and lets the metal's real brilliance come through.
Stained-glass artists use us on 60/40 solder lines until they read like chrome. Knife people use us on bolsters and blades. Collectors use us on Victorian buttons, coins and buckles that came out of a drawer black with age. The common thread: a small amount, a soft cloth, and patience measured in seconds, not hours.
We do not contain grit that tears into soft metal. The paste rubs on, rubs off, and the luster comes up in between. If the piece is plated, go gently and stop as soon as it shines — plating is thin, and the goal is to clean it, not to wear through it.
