The pink paste story
We are a tube of pink paste with a maroon band and a German accent. People find us through a friend at the bike shop, a jeweler's bench, a tack shop counter or a forum thread about a rusty knife — and then they keep a tube within reach for years.
Made by Happich
Simichrome is filled in Germany by Happich, the Wuppertal manufacturer whose GHE oval sits on the back of every tube.
The Outshining Metal Polish
That is what the label has always said, and it is the only promise we make: a shine that outdoes what was there before.
One paste, most metals
Chrome, aluminum, brass, copper, silver, gold, pewter, stainless — and fine scratches on acrylic and ABS.
Why people keep coming back
Because the paste is soft, it doesn't fight you. A little on a cloth, small circles, and the black comes off onto the rag while the metal starts reflecting the room. Restorers use us as the final step after the buffing wheel. Collectors use us on buttons and coins. Riders use us on pipes and covers on a Sunday morning.
We also leave something behind: a thin film that slows the next round of tarnish, so the shine lasts between sessions instead of fading by the end of the week.
Where to find us
Orders are filled through our partner store, which handles payment, shipping, returns and warranty. Our own desk answers questions about using the paste — write to contact@simichromeus.com.
